The term Variant refers to:
- Insight Creator (formerly known as Rainbow): a line (ID) in the Creator jobs/variants screen, represented by a single Creator Report; Every Insight Creator report is considered a single Variant. For illustration, please see here.
- Insight Publisher: a line (ID) in the Publisher Jobs screen, represented by a single Publisher Job; Every Insight Publisher job is considered a single Variant. For illustration, please see here.
- Change Log Viewer: a Change Document object used in the Change Log Viewer. Every new Change Document object is considered a variant, regardless of the number of invocations. For illustration, please see here.
- IDoc Viewer: every IDoc type line represented as an IDoc Type is considered a single variant, regardless of the number of invocations. For illustration, please click here.
The number of variants taken into account consists of the sum of Insight Zap Creator, Publisher, Change Log Viewer and IDoc Viewer variants.
There is no limit of a single variant’s usage, the number of SAP users, recipients, and invocations is unlimited.
Unused variants may be deleted by the Customer, and following their deletion they shall not be taken into account in the calculation of the License Fee for the next year(s).
